Dave Winer’s post about what Google is up to now. If you’re seeing this on my site and you’re using Chrome you can see what he’s talking about in the address bar where my ‘favicon/site icon’ is supposed to be.

I don’t even have a mailing list sign-up form on my site, and Google makes it sound like visiting my page will steal your children’s identities.

The web started as an open platform; that’s probably all going away.
