Of all the horrible things the current presidential administration has perpetrated on the humans of this planet, and yes, I mean humans in general not just U.S. citizens, this is the worst by far.
We knew it was happening and we knew what the outcome would be. An administration that couldn’t manage even the most basic levels of communication among its own people would manage to track these children and their families?
We gained nothing.
The shame of it.
American exceptionalism is starting to mean something very different from when it described our commitment to the spread of democratic principles.
And the true patriots say:
“If they didn’t want to accept the consequences then they shouldn’t have come here.”
But here’s the thing.
