Saddened by the passing of altoist Richie Cole. He was a masterful player who called his style "Alto Madness."

While he is probably best known for his playing on a number of Manhattan Transfer albums, my favorites remain Hollywood Madness with Eddie Jefferson and his appearance on Mark Murphy‘s Bop For Kerouac.
