I received a gift of this candle holder made by my friend Leslie. I keep it on the little table next to my reading chair.

The idea of reading by candlelight is appealing and romantic but somewhat unrealistic for me as my eyes are not as able as they once were. Well, honestly, they never were that able.

Still, the comfort I get from having a candle burning as I dive into whatever I’ve chosen to study is tangible.

Leslie makes all sorts of wonderful objects out of clay and if you’d like to make someone feel like I feel reading by my candle, you can send them something made by Leslie.
