I was cleaning out old bookmarks today and came across this quirky service that epitomizes the sort of simplicity we crave for publishing on the net (albeit anonymously.) text.fyi
Here’s my one and only post on the service back in 2018. Maker
And here is the writing interface, markdown ok. text.fyi
Can you get yourself to publish something that you know no-one will ever see? If you don’t copy the URL, you’ll never see it again either! 🙂
Tumblr to move its half a billion blogs to WordPress.
I think this is good news for the small web. Tumblr’s blogging interface far surpasses WordPress in simplicity/ease of use.
The WordPress admin site has become a nightmare. I’ll definitely be tracking this.
This makes me even more happy about my Kagi subscription. There is a “small web” feature that works sort of like Stumble Upon.
Visit Kagi Small Web and you will land on a random blog post. If you like it you can take your usual “I found something cool” steps, or you can hit the next button to get another random post.
